Steel Panther Cover Ozzy Osbourne Live, Michael Starr Nails Ozzy Impression and Bites Off Bat Toy Head

Although things seemed uncertain in late 2021, it seems that 2022 is the year when live music finally comes back. Or that’s at least what it seems after the overall success of some festivals around the US and Europe.

Speaking of which, France’s Hellfest is, once again, bringing back an incredible lineup, featuring some of the biggest names in metal and hard rock music of all time. And this also includes the greatest musical group or ensemble in the history of mankind – the almighty Steel Panther.

Taking one of the festival’s main stages on June 18, Steel Panther did a solid set in front of a massive audience. Although there’s also high chance that the audience was waiting for Deep Purple who were performing that same day.

Nonetheless, Steel Panther did their thing. And we’re sure it’s incredibly hard to perform after them on the same stage since they raise the bar. One of the songs was a shorter version of Ozzy Osbourne’s classic “Crazy Train.” And, as they also did in the past, Steel Panther nailed it, especially Michael Starr who does a perfect, almost uncanny, impression of Ozzy.

As if that wasn’t enough, he even had Ozzy’s exclusive plush bat toy, giving it the good old head-bite-off ritual at the end of the song. You can check it all out in the embedded player below, starting at the 19-minute mark.
